About Me

Hello Everyone!

My name is Shannon Kietzman and I am a teacher, writer, and mother of four young boys that loves to travel.  In addition to simply having a passion for seeing and experiencing new things, I also have a desire to help my children learn as much about the world around them as possible.   I believe that this sense of “worldliness” is important for all children, so I decided to start this blog.

I hope that this blog helps each of you with finding great vacation destinations and planning memorable family vacations that are both fun and educational for all.

Happy travels!

Shannon

Hi,
I found you through my standing Google search on “educational travel.”
I had been about to cancel the search, which notifies me daily of new listings, because so far it only shows up sites or blogs about overseas travel for students and cruises or other pricey forms of travel. My interest is in frugal family travel. I was delighted to find your site. I think of educational family travel as a way to develop a closer relationship with your kids, including grown kids and grandchildren. When you are away from home, your routines and your daily lives, there’s a “we’re-in this-together” feeling of exploring new universes. Good luck with your blog!

Hi Judith,

How great to hear from you! I am so pleased to hear that I am helping to fulfill a much need niche.

I agree with you completely. There is no better time together for a family than when traveling together - and it is important to do in order to form well-rounded adults when done while the children are still young.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog and I hope to see you around some more in the future!

Shannon
